Under the authority of the section 54.01 of the Public Lands Act, the ANC road is closed beyond km186 for the purposes of:

UNAUTHORIZED on-highway vehicles are prohibited. Operators of unauthorized vehicles beyond the km186 gate may be found guilty of an offence.

If you are an AUTHORIZED user, you must obtain the gate code from the Parent company you are working for.

If you want further information about the gate requirements, please contact the local Fish & Wildlife Office.

Current Road Conditions

Fall Conditions:

Please obey all the speed limits and rules of the road. Avoid use of the ANC Road when conditions are sloppy.
Numerous projects are commencing in October, so please slow down for crews and equipment working adjacent to roads.
Headlights on as hours of daylight are becoming shorter and shorter.
Always drive defensively and remember it’s hunting season when many hunters may not have 2 way radios.
2 way radio use should be limited to calling km locations. Please use alternate frequencies for work discussions.

Give our graders space and grace as they work on the road. Speeds when meeting or overtaking graders is 30km/hr.
